Updates
What is built, what is next, and what is not started.
Patch is in closed beta. This page is the honest version of a roadmap: no dates it cannot keep, and nothing listed as done that has not been proved.
Working now
These run end to end in the current build and have evidence behind them in the repository.
- Filling standard PDF form fields. The furthest along, with values written, appearances preserved, and every untouched field checked afterwards.
- Direct text edits inside a PDF. Changing a date, a name or a clause in place, keeping the original fonts and layout rather than rebuilding the page.
- Native Word and CSV editing. Paragraph replacements that keep their formatting, and spreadsheet edits that leave the rest of the file alone.
- Word to PDF. For when what you want back is not the format you sent.
Being built
- Billing. Checkout, receipts and the rule that unverified work is not charged for. Until this lands the beta is free and asks for no card.
- Wider qualification. More documents, more producers, more adversarial cases. This is the work that moves a capability from "runs" to "proved".
- Reconstruction lanes. Scans, flattened forms and damaged files. These exist but are held to quoted, human-reviewed work until their reviews pass.
Not started
- PowerPoint. Designed, not written.
- Signatures, initials and handwriting. A later phase entirely.
- Teams, bulk work and approval chains. After single documents are proved.
Dated release notes
There are none yet, and inventing them would be the first dishonest thing on this site. Dated entries begin at public beta, when there is a release for them to describe.
If a capability matters to you, say which one. Invitations go out in batches chosen partly by what people are actually waiting for.
